Pure Metallic Floor Coating is a 100% solids two component epoxy
resin system. It is a series of parts and layers used to achieve
superior adhesion, durability and a pure metal look. This coating
system requires a low solids epoxy primer, a 100% solids metallic
epoxy primer, a metallic effect paint and a clear coat of your
choice.
Clear coat is a thick 100% solids epoxy that provides floor depth
and a high gloss. This varnish is perfect for basements because it
has no harmful smell. Another clear coat option is - High Abrasion
Polyurethane. This gives the floor a slightly textured and satin
finish. A small powder is added to this thin clear coat to give the
high abrasion resistant polyurethane its excellent abrasion
resistance. Polyurethane has a slight odor but can still be used in
poorly ventilated areas because the fumes are not flammable.
Because polyurethane is UV and abrasion resistant, we recommend it
for garages and high traffic areas. For commercial applications we
recommend two clear coats for better longevity.
